I ...I found your blog today up on surfing the web. I had to smile when I came upon this post. My husband is from Texas and after 15 years of marriage and living all over we finally made our way to Texas.

I wasn't to keen on the idea let me say. For our wedding anniversary that year he went out of his way and found a special gift for me. It was two of the Belinda's Dream roses.

I have always loved roses and had just left our dream home in Arkansas where we had worked on our yard for many long years and yes it was filled with roses. Long story short these two Belinda's Dream rose plants were just what I needed.

We have now lived in Texas for almost eight years and my two plants are more beautiful each year. And they will always hold a special meaning......especially their name!

Have a wonderful day!
BelindaBelindahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06748413616159640037noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-758780567770747669.post-86886241209558228612015-05-13T08:00:29.552-05:002015-05-13T08:00:29.552-05:00See, another thing you and I have in common! However, the weeds in the yard seem to thrive and I use everything I can get my hands on to try to kill them. Hmmmm, now there’s a thought. If I try to kill the plants, maybe they will live??!!! LOL Thanks for the luck…the poor bush is going to need it! :-)Benitahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02712521705008463049noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-758780567770747669.post-23362625713117945402015-05-12T20:59:10.807-05:002015-05-12T20:59:10.807-05:00I have a black thumb, so I can totally relate! My ...I have a black thumb, so I can totally relate! My husband has lovingly labeled me a plant murderer. If anything in our yard makes it, it is because I have stayed far, far away from it! Good luck with the roses, they truly are fabulous, delicate...and therefore completely absent from my yard! ;)Kim https://www.blogger.com/profile/15445291034631735026noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-758780567770747669.post-81358169464166367702015-05-12T15:12:53.316-05:002015-05-12T15:12:53.316-05:00The hubby is always full of it....great comments, ...The hubby is always full of it....great comments, that is! ;-) Thank you ma'am. I'm surprised they are doing so well given that we had 3 days below freezing after they started blooming. LOL @ spray painting the dead bush....I may be doing that! Don't give me ideas. No maintenance that way - just the occasional touch-up! Have a great day!Benitahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02712521705008463049noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-758780567770747669.post-28351594403971002032015-05-12T15:10:27.479-05:002015-05-12T15:10:27.479-05:00Kris, you are right, Knock Outs are the best! Those are even hard for ME to kill! :-) I enjoy the antique roses also, but they are high maintenance and are so susceptible to bugs and disease - they usually die a slow, painful death under my care! Have a great day!Benitahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02712521705008463049noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-758780567770747669.post-23508316966953425132015-05-12T15:07:31.722-05:002015-05-12T15:07:31.722-05:00Thank you for the funny for the day! :-)Thank you for the funny for the day! :-)Benitahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02712521705008463049noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-758780567770747669.post-40540331697999415782015-05-12T08:59:48.792-05:002015-05-12T08:59:48.792-05:00Great comment above. They are very low maintenance and you do not need to dead head them. They will bloom all summer long and they are so vibrant in color. I do easy peasy when it comes to roses.
KrisJunkchiccottagehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13312068546640480844noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-758780567770747669.post-36143202433051724882015-05-12T08:19:15.393-05:002015-05-12T08:19:15.393-05:00Two old fellers are talking about the troubles of ...Two old fellers are talking about the troubles of aging. One of them claims, "My doctor has me using associations to help my memory, and it works great!"
"Oh, yeah? What's your doctor's name?"
"Uh...mmm... help me out here. What's the name of that bush that has the sweet smelling flowers and the thorns?"
"A rose?"
"Yeah. ROSE!" he yells into the other room. "Rose, honey!
