  2. It look's authentic like Cade's Cove.You know it make's me hungry for hominy.We've spoken about grit's , but I love me some good hominy !! Hope you get home soon and safely . Hug's TT

    1. The grist mill still works at Cades Cove and they sell the corn meal there. It was pretty awesome to watch the process! Thanks girl, we are finally home! Hugs!!

  4. Fabulous in black in white. It has that real vintage look to it! I'm imagining how amazing fresh ground corn tastes for cornbread with a ton of melted butter and honey! =)

    1. Thank you so much! Just about everything in the entire grist mill was original to the 1800s, including the water wheel turning outside. One of the descendants was overseeing the wheel grinding the corn. It was so great to talk to him. We bought some of the meal and they gave us their recipe for cornbread. I will let you know how it tastes! Hugs!!

  6. Awesome shot! I'm sure you had lots to photograph on your recent trip there. My cousin just posted pics of their family there at Pigeon Forge this weekend and they're having so much fun. Made me think of you!
