The Laziest Man I Ever Met....

...put popcorn in his pancakes so they would turn over by themselves."  ~ W. C. Fields.

Pfft, where's the fun in that??!!  The best thing about pancakes is the flip, especially when they stick to the ceiling drop right back into your skillet! And realistically, they would not turn over by themselves, they would explode.  Guess that's over-analyzing a silly quote a little too much, right??  I've been known to do that!

Anywho, I wanted to share this easy-peasy, super-simple pancake recipe with you today.  It is no secret that I love cinnamon.  I add cinnamon or cinnamon sugar to most of my recipes, including my black beans.  Maaannn, I just gave away one of my best secret ingredients!  Oh well, who are you gonna tell??!!  ;-)

CINNAMON PANCAKES

1 1/2 cups of regular pancake mix (doesn't matter what brand)
1/4 cups Hershey's Cinnamon Chips
2-3 Tablespoons of Cinnamon Sugar
3/4 cup of water (more if you want thinner, less if you want thicker)

Mix together, drop a small ladle full onto a hot flat skillet and cook!  The cinnamon chips will turn a dark brown to black color.  No worries, the pancakes aren't burned!

I hope you enjoy this recipe.  I know we do!

Happy almost weekend!

  3. Your photos are always just stunning! I haven't had pancakes in a long time. I understand that cinnamon is very good for you. And you can use it like a root hormone to start new plants.
