But we are too cheap to pay for it…LOL The only good thing about packing yourself is that you sort of remember what’s in the boxes…LOL. That is so crazy that a man would pack the boxes that way…I know the movers were wanting to make him carry those heavy boxes! I’ve tried to be very good this time around about how much goes into the boxes, but some things are just heavy…..like a huge collection of cookbooks. :-) See, those are my thoughts exactly! :-)Benitahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02712521705008463049noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-758780567770747669.post-5759373904629457752015-08-22T22:54:55.286-05:002015-08-22T22:54:55.286-05:00Hi Benita! :)

So...it's not just women is what I'm getting at! ;)
And I'm like you, I have no idea where what room it will end up in, in the new house so why label it for a room it's going into if you are not sure where it's going yet?? ;)Kimberleyhttp://www.seasideave.comnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-758780567770747669.post-6020328074714959512015-08-19T08:15:51.272-05:002015-08-19T08:15:51.272-05:00Awww, thank you so much! And it isn’t the moving part, it is the packing and unpacking. I think I would pare down to little of nothing if I had to move that often because it would make it so much easier!

We moved ourselves from Alabama to Texas….it took 2 trips. It was not fun. It was snowing when we left Alabama the first time and it was snowing when we reached Dallas. We were iced in for 4 days in Dallas and couldn’t even unpack the truck. THAT was fun! After we unloaded the truck and returned it, we waiting a week and drove back to Alabama to get the rest of our belongings and have yet another moving sale…we had about 3. I will never move with that much stuff again…LOL. We moved ourselves from Texas to Tennessee….it was not as horrible, but I told the hubster…get movers or we are staying in this house and renting until we leave Tennessee. All that to say, I totally understand the dilemma of your poor neighbors. I’m sure our neighbors have enjoyed our outdoor conversations as well…LOL

I commend your expertise! Seriously! Moving is just one of those things in life that while on one side it is exciting because of the new beginnings, the other side is the dreaded packing to get there! :-) OMGOSH…that is hilarious…leaving him on the lawn with a sign!!! I grew up moving. military... then government for my dad. required moving every year.
but we didn't have much to move. on purpose. otherwise it's a divorce I would think with each move! LOLOL.
one military family across the street from my little cottage a few years ago... had to move. transferred yet again to who knows where. they decided to do it themselves this time and got this HUGE rent a truck.
they packed stuff and boxes and furniture into that truck for three solid days! they would stand out there and fight. it started off with just a raised voice. mostly hers. since our voices are higher they seem to carry.
soon enough though... the deep 'voice of reason' as she called him... could be heard YELLING as if to his troops! LOLOLOL! she was on the lawn instructing and he was in the truck packing it all in.
they repacked that truck TWICE before they finally took off one morning. they had a LOT of stuff!
and the morning they left... there were two chests of drawers and one table and some lamps left on the lawn by the drive. with a sign that said. MOVED. THESE ARE FREE.
LOLOL.
i wish you luck in your move. and hopefully only ONE packing of the truck! LOL.
this coming from an expert packer and mover. seriously. since i grew up doing it i love it! i love fresh starts.
hey. not bragging here. just... after doing it most of one's whole life... one should finally be an expert at it.
i'm certainly not even close to being an expert in anything else!
like tessa said... the main thing is not to hurt either one of you!!!
i guess if he gets just TOO unruly and unreasonable...
you could always leave him on the lawn with a sign . . .
MOVED.
