In The Easter Parade...

Everyone is gearing up for spring and Easter and I am loving all of the beautiful decor I've been admiring on Instagram and Pinterest.

While I currently do not have a home to decorate, I am more than happy to share some photos of my Easter decorations.  Believe me, these decorations will be all over the place once we move!

I found this little pot at Kirkland's a few years ago...

I keep this little rabbit out all year long, but give him center stage in the Easter decor...

I've always thought of him as my little good luck charm.  Hmmm, now that I think about it, I don't think he really brings good luck...look at all of our house catastrophes...LOL

I really like the soft, pastel-colored eggs...

...but admit that I did pick up some blingy gold ones the other day.  I will have to figure out how to make them work.  Maybe I can find a ceramic goose and leave the trail of eggs behind it. ;-)

While I love this nesty-type stuff (not sure what it's called), it makes such a mess...

...I'll get over it, it looks too pretty not to use.

On a different note, am I the only one who forgets that my computer is a touch screen and I mess everything up when I go to wipe a piece of fuzz off the screen??!!  Frustrating! :-)

    1. Honey, I’m right there with you! I can’t wait to pour through all the boxes of my decorations. I’ve been trying really hard to not buy new stuff for Easter, but I’m struggling…LOL And yes, there is. I saw that Hobby Lobby was still selling these little guys…may have to go buy a mate! :-) Love and hugs!

  4. That bunny is so cute, oh my!! I don't really do much decorating for Easter, maybe a spring wreath, a pastel tablecloth, and some spring bulbs. However, you are inspiring me to do more! When the kids were little I did, of course, but now life is so hectic, I feel as if I don't get around to it. Oh well.

    1. I’m the say way….this vignette that I decorate with is very small and stays on the coffee table. That’s about it for me. Like you, when my kids were little, I would go all out. But now, no one notices if I do or not…LOL Love and hugs!!

  5. I don't have Easter decor. I did when I was in TX. Just don't have the storage space. Love the pastel eggs!

    1. I only have these few things…we’ve been tight on storage space in our last couple of homes, so I downsized the decorations quite a bit. It will be the same way in this home. I try to make small vignettes for Easter rather than having stuff all over the house. Thank you…I picked those up at Hobby Lobby a few years ago. They are holding up pretty well. Love and hugs!!

    1. Thank you so much! Isn’t he just wonderful?! Thank you so much about the house. We’ve hit a few snags…some things that the seller has to take care of with documentation, but other than that, it seems we are moving along. I’m just so ready!! :-) How are things coming along with your house hunting? Love and hugs sweet friend!

  8. You are so cute, Benita :) I would call that "nesty stuff" moss. It's fun to see everyone's Easter décor, since I don't really decorate for that holiday anymore (now that the kids are grown.) Also, this is completely random, but I'm glad that you are still on Blogger so that I don't feel like the only person left who hasn't moved to Wordpress, haha. I just don't have time for that technological headache. Happy Weekend, Friend!

    1. Okay, that works...LOL I love looking at everyone's decorations also. I don't have a lot of Easter decorations...just this little bit and some years, this doesn't even make it out. Girl, there is no way I will move to WordPress. I keep reading about all of the problems and like you, I just don't have time for those headaches! I need something easy to navigate...LOL. Hope you had a great weekend! Love and hugs!!

  9. I would keep that sweet rabbit all the time too, does he have a name?

Benita, I left behind a white ceramic goose from GW for our estate sale when we moved to FL that your gold eggs would be sweet with. Who knows why I bought her in the first place except she looked at me from the shelf and said "Don't leave me here."

It is time to start thinking of Easter, I'd better start planning, or at least after St. Pat's day is over.

Benita, we're supposed to get 2 inches of snow here in Nashville tomorrow night! I'm so excited as it has not snowed once since what was on the ground when we moved 2 months ago.

Hope your weekend is lovely there and that things are all positive relating to your new house,

    1. I haven’t given him a name yet…just never got around to it, but he does deserve one doesn’t he? And yes, your goose would be perfect for my golden eggs! :-)

We will miss St. Patrick’s Day due to moving, so I didn’t worry about any decorations for that this year. But I will definitely be planning on it for next year. I will shop the 75% off sale on Saturday. :-)

That is so awesome about the snow!! I would love some here. We’ve had the most miserable weather. I keep Nashville weather on my phone so I can check it all out for when we move back! You guys are supposed to get additional snow tomorrow. The hubster tries to hide it from me, but I told him to not even try, that I’m one step ahead of him…LOL

We are supposed to close and move this week…fingers crossed! Love and hugs sweet friend…send photos of the snow!!

    1. What you see in these photos is it for me...I've just never purchased that much for Easter. I put out more when the kids were little, but since we have none at home, I just can't find the motivation! :-) Thank you so much! I'm hoping the same thing! Love and hugs!

  11. Benita,
Love Easter bunnies! My mom always had new Easter baskets filled with candy, eggs, and some kind of special toy for us every Easter. She would dye hard-boiled eggs and have an Easter egg hunt for us. We would play with those hard-boiled eggs for several days until they had to be thrown out. :)

    1. That is so sweet Judith. I used to do the same things for my kids and my mom did that for us as well. We used to have big Easter egg hunts with my mom’s side of the family…we loved it!! And yes, those boiled eggs would definitely have to go…they were not fit to eat…LOL Love and hugs!!

  13. ugh... that nesty stuff is a PITA, but I love it too LOL I'm not sure a goose with golden eggs trailing behind would look like you think ;)

Anyway, I hope you're in your new home soon. I know YOU do too.

    love to you,

  14. Good Morning!
I am bringing out a few Easter goodies this year. I am savoring the old pieces that I have collected for all of my life (too many years to mention...wink)scaling back too.
It's all about simple abundance and mindful living for me, from here on out. This is a big decade for me and it's brought about alot of new ways of looking at life.
    Big Hugs Sweet Lady!

    1. Hi Jemma,

Hope to get over to your blog and check out what’s been going on…I’ve been out of the loop! We have also had some life-altering events and it has definitely changed the way I look at things. I told the hubster a little while ago that we needed to get rid of quite a few more belongings.. I’m just tired of moving them, cleaning them and letting them monopolize my time! Love and hugs to you sweet friend!
