Mama Needs A New Pair Of Shoes....

...and a few other things, but we will start with shoes!

Also, you can classify this as a shameless post!

Hey, I live in the Nashville area....what do you expect! :-)

DISCLAIMER: This post contains affiliate links, which means I will get a small commission if you choose to click on any of the links in this post and make a purchase!

I recently signed up to be a Target affiliate, which means, if I post cool products from Target and you click on any of those links and make a purchase, I get a few extra pennies.  I like Target, I like extra $$, so it was a win/win all the way around.  If you like Target and you like to make purchases, you can click on links in this post and some of my future posts and get your items shipped to your home...see, it's a win/win for you also!

Another win/win is the Target Red Card.

If you don't have one, you should definitely get one...you can click on any of the RED links in the post and it will take you to the website to sign up!

Now, before you decide you do not want or need another credit card, I will tell you, it is NOT a credit card.  The Target Red Card is actually a debit card linked to your checking account.  You might say that that is nothing special...but oh, dear ones, it is.  Because every time you use that Red Card at Target, you get 5% off your total purchase (even the sale items)...not the special item of the week, not the stale chips that have been sitting over in the corner unnoticed, but your ENTIRE purchase!  See, win/win...get the Target Red Card, receive 5% off of all of your purchases....online or in-store!  The Red Card is also great when your hubster leaves your suitcase at home and you have to go purchase new clothes while on a trip!  The 5% off was wonderful.  I've had my Target Red Card for quite some time and love the discount!

And with Christmas literally breathing down our necks, 5% off of all those purchases makes a huge difference and keeps a little money in your pocket for all of those after-Christmas sales....including those at Target.  And you know what?  If you use the Red Card, you get 5% off of those purchases also....a sale and another 5%....cha-ching!!  Two-fer!!

There's one other thing that you should know...the new Target Red Card has the anti-theft chip!

Happy Saturday!

  7. Oh darn! I hardly ever get to Target because it is too far.....I guess I would have to shop online. I like cards that give me discounts so I can buy more!!

    1. I love the discounts also and the Red Card does apply to online purchases. It also gives you a few other perks…extended return time and free shipping on some items. I think they are offering free shipping on everything during the holidays!

  8. This is so cool but I'm a little too lazy to be an affiliate for anyone...lol! I have Red Card but it's the credit card type. I, too, get 5% off. I would never recommend anyone getting credit cards unless they can pay it off every month. Not preaching here but I believe women should build up credit-of their own if they are married, in their own name--good credit because they might be on their own one day. As an avid shopper I usually charge something and then come home and pay it online. Sounds crazy but it works for me. :)

Are you still on a break? I did NOT like reading that last week, I love your blog!

    1. You are so funny! This is my first post for being an affiliate…it may be the last, I don’t know. I don’t like offering things people don’t like…the Red Card seemed like a good place to start because it doesn’t cost anything.  I look at it like a door prize from Target….I get 5% off for shopping in their store….LOL. I feel the same way you do about credit. I was so glad when I was on my own that I had prepared in advance to have my own credit card and did the same thing…paid it off as quickly as I could. Those good credit scores are precious these days!

You are so sweet…thank you so much! And right back at you…I love yours also!! I’m trying to break the break, but AT&T is keeping me from blogging while I’m at home, so I’m having to be creative with the internet time while I’m at the office! Hope you are having a fabulous day! Hugs to you!!

  9. Target is really getting better products that are right on trend. Love all the new plaid they're showing currently.

    1. I love those plaid products they've had out recently....they look so good and you are right, they have so many better products. They've partnered with a few designers and are really trying to showcase more upscale products without the upscale price!

  10. Benita,
What a great idea and just like you said, who doesn't love target, right? I just purchased a heap of stuff for the grandkids. Shopping at Target is a good thing.

  13. What a coincidence Garth Brooks was just here! My favorite is "I got friends..."! Love shopping at Target, but we only use one card! You'll find which affliates you like work with. I look at these posts as learning experiences. I have one, I'm not sure how I am going about posting on it either. The card does sound good with 5% reward for spending especially this time of year! Have a safe trip, Benita! hugs, Christine

    1. Yep, that is one of my favs also...it's one of those fun, silly songs! We stick to one credit card also, which is why I like having this card since it is a debit card attached to my checking account. I'm not using credit and getting that 5% discount..which I love! And you are so right, perfect for this time of year! Have a great evening! Hugs!!

  14. Garth is a huge family favorite...my kids grew up singing his songs, We still love him!
I am with you on the Target Red Card. I love that it's not a credit card, it's debited from my bank. The 5% is gravy. And don't forget to use the app Cartwheel for additional savings. It really adds up.

    1. Ooohhhh, thank you for that information! I didn’t realize there was an app to use for more savings. And I like the Red Card for the exact reasons you said…it’s debited and not a credit card! :-) Perfect! Hope you are having a great Monday! Hugs!!

  16. I do love me some Target and already have a card...you would think that they would pay me 10% though since I am there so much! ;)
This is a great way for you to see if this affiliate stuff is a right fit for you, Target is a good place to start!
I hope you had a great week!

    1. LOL…I know, right??!! I’m there a lot and think they should be giving a little extra to me as well. Their products have gotten so much better and they are a much better store than Walmart. I know the prices there are a little more than Walmart, but with the 5% and entering a much cleaner store, I’m all about shopping at Target! Hope you had a great weekend! Hugs!!
