So, Let Me Tell You What...

....the Hubster did. <evil grin and snicker>

A couple of weeks ago, we had to take a trip back home to Alabama.  It was sort of last minute and we had to hurry to pack.  The morning we left, I added a few last items to our suitcase.  The hubster zipped it up, stood it up and went to load some other cases in the car.  He came back grabbed the suitcase and off we went.

Later in the day, I wanted to grab my "flats" out of the suitcase.  Oh, one thing I forgot to mention about the suitcase is that it was the middle-size suitcase of a 3-piece nesting set.  When I removed it from the larger one, I tucked the smallest suitcase inside the largest one and set them aside.

Soooo, I wanted to get my flats out of the suitcase.  The hubster opened the back of the car and proceeded to unzip the suitcase for me...he's nice like that.  Only, when he opened the suitcase, there were no shoes or clothes, there was only the smaller suitcase.  He had grabbed the wrong suitcase when we left earlier that morning.  Our clothes, shoes and personal items were all neatly packed away in the suitcase sitting in our bedroom floor.  We had nothing for our stay away from home but the clothes on our backs, not even clean undies!!

The hubster has been happily ribbing me about the egg-splosion that happened....

...so, being the woman that I am, I pulled out my artillery....you know, we always carry around a bag of ammunition to use.  Ever since I reminded the hubster of his "mishap" about our clothing, he has been pretty silent about the egg ordeal.  :-)

I apologize for my late responses and in getting around to visiting blogs...we have been crazy busy with all things in the real working world, but please know that I will catch up!

One other thing, don't forget about the giveaway.....

...it ends on Friday and I will draw a winner on Sunday and make the announcement on Monday!  So many details, so little time! :-)  I know that vanity for my One Room Challenge is out there somewhere...I do hope he shows up soon!

  1. LOL! Priceless! There should NEVER be mention of the egg incident again. Not from Mr. CQ, anyway. ;)

  2. Benita,
Laughing out loud... had to share this with my sister as I was reading it. You know, you may be 'even' right now, but it is only a matter of time until the scales tip again. It's like that in life. Those little 'accidents' have a way of popping up all the time.

    1. It was pretty funny, but I really wanted those flats....LOL. Yes, we are even for the moment, but I still have one over on him..there was that time he set the grill on fire...LOL I brought that up also...so he's been pretty silent about the eggs. :-) I like being in the lead for a little bit...LOL

  3. Oh yea, now you're even. Except, you get to go shopping, so he's one up (unless you went all the way back home, in which case, he still owes you).

    1. We had to take a mini-shopping trip. I needed a few new things to fill in for fall/winter anyway, so it worked out in the end. And, I was even encouraged to go back and purchase a few more things when we got home…LOL

    1. LOL…it was an adventure, that’s for sure! We had to go purchase some new clothing items to wear while were in Alabama. Fortunately, I had picked up my cosmetic case so I didn’t have to go purchase hair products and face creams or make-up....LOL In addition to clothes, I did have to purchase a blow dryer and hair brushes…and you know, those things never work right because they aren’t broken in. We laugh now, but there for about 30 minutes, things were a bit tense…LOL Love and hugs!!

But...does that mean that he took you on a giant 'Pretty Woman' shopping spree? Lol! ;)
That vanity is out there, I just know it! What are the measurements you need anyways?
Enjoy the rest of your week!!

    1. It wasn’t, but then it was…LOL I’m glad we were able to end up laughing about it. I hate shopping for clothes, so this forced me to buy a few things I needed and when we got back, I picked up a few more things. I know….it is just eluding me right now. We are looking for something that is 30 w by 36 h x 18 deep….very narrow space…Hope you are having a great week! I’m responding to your email! :-) Hugs!!!

    1. It most definitely was!! LOL I haven’t heard anything about eggs lately. :-)

We had to go on a mini-shopping spree…got a few things I really needed and when we got home, I picked up a few more. I would rather have my lips glued together than shop for clothes…I just despise it. This incident forced me to get some new clothes…LOL As long as I’m not hearing about eggs though, I’m good! :-) Love and hugs to you!!

    1. Yes ma’am…he knew exactly what he did….LOL It was definitely priceless and we had a great time laughing about our mishaps. We ran to Target to purchase some new items to get us through. I did feel bad for him. He wanted a pair of shorts because it was so warm and the only things available were on clearance. He had to purchase a pair that was a little bit too big for him…I called him “baggy bottoms”….LOL

  17. Oh wow! I would have died. I hope your visit was short and that you had access to a washing machine! lol! I usually do car trips like a total slob (for comfort of course) so I would have looked like a bag lady the whole time if someone didn't intervene with a wardrobe and make up!
