I Get By....

...with a little help from my friends!

While I'm not a Beatles fan, I do love my friends!

When I started this blog, I never expected to actually make friends.  I really had no idea how "Bloglandia" functioned.  To say that I have been pleasantly surprised is a vast understatement.  I have made so many wonderful friends and am thoroughly enjoying our relationships.

The other day, I received some surprises in the mail...housewarming gifts from blogging friends.  I just love surprises!  Kimberley at Seaside Ave and Carla at The River, sent me these goodies!

I cannot thank you ladies enough for these sweet treasures!

I am truly thankful and honored to have met each and every one of you...bloggers and non-bloggers.  Your support, encouragement and friendship is something that I treasure.  I look forward to your comments and emails....some have made me laugh so hard that people have stared at me when I'm in the store (if I'm reading it on my phone) and someone even caused me to drop my phone because of their scented bra story!  I LOVE it!!

Thank you all for making me feel so welcome in a place where I wasn't sure I would fit!

  13. It had to be a love connection to get a 'Bama girl to marry an Aggie man and go on to share their madcap life with all of us in Bloglandia. Sweet gifts for a sweet (and spicy!) blogger. At least they did not require assembly.

    1. :-) Most definitely…and it is madcap most of the time! You should hear (or read) what I don’t post…LOL He did hide that fact that he was also an Auburn fan…and that’s a big no-no in Bama…no mixed marriages! LOL…I’m so thankful that I didn’t have to put anything together or craft something to go along with it…we all know what a nightmare that would have been!

  14. Aw Benita, you certainly did not have to mention me...it was just a little gift for someone with a big heart! :)
We connected right away...although how could we not when we share the same birthday?! ;)
And it is evident from the comments above that you have this effect on a lot of other people, and that my friend is something to be proud of!
I am so glad that our paths have crossed!
    Have a wonderful Friday!
    Big Hugs!!

  15. Ok so I bit and searched your blog to find the phone dropping reference to the scented bra. They say you can learn everything from the Internet and they are right though they rarely warn you it may be too much data! My first search of your blog for “bra” turned up the fact you love bread and olive oil so much you stuff your bra with it. Good to know… if I notice odd stains on your shirt I will try to be a good friend and just give an understanding nod and keep it to myself lol

Second search of “scented” turned up a Lysol- Scented V**** post - I just ate so I passed. The same post did provide photographic proof that “bad egg” Hubster is actually a “golden egg” – the guy vacuums! With all this data overload I just forgot all about the dead end searches for scented bra so do tell!

    1. LMAO….I am laughing so hard…..I so totally forgot about the Lysol v***** post…I’m so sorry you had to see that…LOL. You were right to pass on the reading of that article…it was truly horrible! And yes, the hubster truly is my golden egg….he is a really great guy and takes all the ribbing from the blog quite well. He laughs and thinks that you all are pretty clever and witty with the remarks. 

And yes, please, just ignore the odd stains on the shirts from the bread and olive oil…YUM….both are a staple in our house. I wish I would walk away from the bread, but when it is hot from the oven…there is nothing that tastes better!

The scented bra was from an email exchange with one of the other bloggers, which is why it didn’t turn up in any of the posts. It was a snippet from a conversation that she had with a lady in the post office about the smell of her bra…I just love all of the comments because it allows me to have wonderful conversations! I’m so glad that I now have your email address and we can chat! YAY!! Hugs…hope you are planning a wonderful weekend!

  16. Those are such pretty gifts! I think we all get to know what each other like just from reading our friends' blogs. You are such a generous soul yourself, Benita!

And who needs sit coms when we can read about our fellow bloggers' daily lives?

    Love to you,
    Benita

  20. Some how I missed the olive oil and bread post! Blogland is a wonderful place to meet friends from all over, to visit places and see things {or read about stories} we wouldn't ever have the chance too! It seems to make our world a little smaller, bringing friends closer together! =) Very lovely gifts, Benita! I absolutely love that deer plate! Have a fun weekend! hugs, Christine
