About That Photo.....

A couple of you have asked about a photo in my last post.  Sadly, I am not task-oriented enough to have pulled the house together quickly enough to take that shot....we are still living in boxland...it's similar to legoland.  So far, I've built a fort and train station!

The photo is from an earlier post....which you can read here, if you are bored and need some mindless reading to fill a gap or something.  It is called, In the Bedroom.  I'm going to warn you, it is not for the faint of heart....all kinds of racy stuff going on in that post! ;-)

I hope to be back to posting regularly later this week and be able to show a photo or two.  I will have several photos in my post next Friday for the Cozy Little House Fall Home Tour.  We still do not have internet at home or at our new office and are traveling back to our previous home to try to work.  But after a few hours of sitting in the floor, we have to eventually give that up.  It's just too uncomfortable.  At 5'2", I can contort myself a little, at least until it's time to stand up, but the hubster is 6'2" and floor-sittin' just doesn't work for him.  :-)

We also do not have a refrigerator or washer/dryer.  If it were winter, the refrigerator would be no big deal...I could just take the items that need to be cold and stick them outside.  Unfortunately, butter melts and milk sours in this ridiculously hot weather we have been experiencing.  The rest of our appliances are scheduled to be delivered this Friday.

The other thing we are missing....blinds.  Our new neighbors love us!  They get to watch me unpack boxes in my pajamas!  But then again, so do the construction workers who are building a new house next door to us!  It's always a free for all with us!

  1. You made me smile with your post. It will all come together. Patience is the name of the game. That is not my strong suit either. Have fun as you unpack.

    1. Thanks so much Kris! Patience is very difficult when one is ready to see the finished product! :-) Thinking about you today! Hugs!!

  2. No blinds reminds me of when we first moved into this neighborhood - no one has window coverings! As you walk down the street at night you can peer into every house. I did have to put shades on the bedroom windows, but just sheers or nothing on the rest. Hang in there - surely there is a silver lining to your cloud.

    1. I would be walking up and down the streets looking in just to see how people decorate their houses! LOL I prefer no window coverings, but we are going to have to get them for the front of the house. I will not be putting them on the back of the house since that part faces woods. I wouldn’t put them on the bathroom window because I don’t care, but the hubster wants privacy…LOL

  4. Hi Benita! :)
I know the bare window feeling all to well with all of our moves...we had one house in particular that had a giant window that ran the length of the house from roof to ground, it faced our stairs inside...so everyone got to see me in my pj's coming down the stairs every morning! The window was so large that the cost to put a covering on it was crazy...needless to say it was the last to be covered!
No fridge, that's rough...Friday is almost here though!
All the hiccups will be worth it in the end! Hang in there!!
ps...that earlier post was good!!! ;)

    1. I prefer bare windows, but when you don't live in the country, bare windows are not an option. And the hubster has all these little phobias about peeping toms....LOL YES, Friday is here tomorrow and I'm so excited! :-) Thank you so much, you are so sweet! Hugs!!

  6. So many challenges when moving. I hate the unpacking part.....I still have a few boxes that I didn't unpack from 8 years ago and now that we are moving again they are ready to go. HaHa! When is your internet being installed?

    1. We've done that also...we just keep moving the already packed boxes with us....we don't know what's in them. We leave them sealed for fear it will be like opening Pandora's Box...LOL. Internet will be at the new office tomorrow...the house....not in the foreseeable future....how do people live without internet service at home??!! LOL
